Today I had my CPR appointment. The weather was rainy so I went there by metro. I got there 30 minutes early than I was suppose to. The earliest you can check in is 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Finally I was able to check in but I had to wait another 30 minutes to be called. It reminds me of a DMV, where your number is displayed on the screen when you are called. Although I waited long, the actual process was a breeze. It took less than 10 minutes and I was out the door.
After stressing about that very moment for the longest time, I decided to treat myself to a pastry. During the first week, I've been tempted to get another pistachio croissant from Buka bakery. So I did just that. Thankfully I went early, because the line started to pick up after. The rest of the afternoon, I stayed indoors. At around 3 pm, I headed to CBS with Archie, Davydd, and Ethan to retrieve our Intro week bracelets. We got here way to early, because the social event starts at 6 pm. So we decided to walk Frederiksberg Garden and stall time.
The social started and we were greeted with a game where you had to find your matching number and question. I was paired with Adam. He is from France. The whole point of this event is to socialize and meet new people. I am very thankful to have participated in the Danish Crash Course because I saw a lot of my new friends in a different setting. It was nice.

After an exciting night, I had to wake up quite early for CBS orientation week. It is mandatory for all students to go. During this meet up, we learned about CBS and their services as well as played a Kahoot to get familiarized with the information we obtained.
The orientation was 2-3 hours long, so we decided to go to Gasoline Grill for lunch. I had to put them on this gem. It was indeed an expensive lunch. I paid $22 for a burger, drink, fries, and dip.
Both Noah and I had signed up for folk dancing--another social event apart of Into week. It was a cultural experience. They had costumes and it really felt like we were at a festival dancing. We had a partner switch and I was paired with Maximillian. He is from Finland and what is so cool is that his aunty is the illustrator of the Cartoon character Moomin.

Once again, I had to wake up early for another CBS meeting. This meeting was important as they talked about Exams and grading. Something that you can't understand over email.
From 12-1pm, we were instructed to do a campus tour. This was self-instructed so a group of us decided to look for our classes. But before we did so, we got breakfast at Frede & Vester's. Surprisingly they sold Matcha from Yame, Japan. I was impressed because I was told prior that Copenhagen didn't have a lot of matcha places. The barista was giving me matcha lore and how they partner with this Japanese distributor to get this blend of matcha. I also ordered Smørrebrød--one of the popular Danish dishes.
As we began the tour, I realized how big the campus is. Most of my classes were at Solbjerg Plads which is the main building. However my favorite building was Dalgas Have. Apparently, this building is a trending Instagram spot. There is a water fountain in the middle of the courtyard and the interior is similar to an Art museum.
Everyone was told to meet at Porcelænshaven for some Danish pastries. The pastry selection was amazing, I wanted seconds. In Denmark, they celebrate Fastelavn. Which is similar to Halloween; they dress up in costumes and do activities like hitting a barrel full of candy. On Fastelavn, you eat fastelavnsbolle which is a popular pastry in the Nordic countries. There were some with cream, chocolate and cinnamon.

Today I had a slow start to the day and was met with another meeting. This one was by far more interesting and informational. They talked about life in Denmark, the dating scene, and where to buy groceries etc. It was quite interesting to hear that most Danes don't mind dating internationals because everyone looks fairly the same in Denmark. I thought this was very out of pocket but makes sense to include hahaha.
The last day time social event was a scavenger hunt through the city. We gathered in a group of 8 and made our way to Rådhuspladsen. It was fun exploring the city while also meeting new people. In our group, we had two people from Canada. We visited some famous spots like Rundetaarn, Nyhavn, and Rosenborg Castle.

Today is Zach's birthday. It is also the final day of the Intro week. This morning Mia invited us to go rock climbing. I have never done this and I have a fear of heights so what could possibly go wrong. We tried this place in Vanløse--Beta Boulders. We were able to get a day pass for $30. The place also has a gym below that is also included in the pass.
As we climbed, I could not make it to the top. I was scared, so I would go half way up and start making my way down. Unexpectedly, Zach also made his way to us and we had a group climbing session. This guy came in with cutest dog Bella. We learned more about Denmark from him. Always nice to meet new people.
Before our final CPH night, we celebrated Zach's birthday at Nyu Sakura. Which was AYCE sushi. We ate so much and talked our ears off. We ended our night at Chateau Motel for our final party night.
